Auckland Housing Winner

NZHC Housing Competition
This master plan for 230 housing units on a 30 hectare site in Te Atatu, Auckland was a major prizewinner in a national competition. The design attempts to create an environment encouraging a social situation based on community identity, communual activity, neighbourhood, co-operativeness and pooling of resources by creating physical and architectural relationships that

may engender these social goals.
The development reinforces existing landforms, avoids the harsh geometry of standard subdivisions and suggests new criteria for housing.
